*Notes: Painted images are saved separately from the original images. Resolution of the stamps, frames, and painted letters has no difference between 3MP size and VGA. Edit your images with in-camera retouching Fun, convenient editing functions let you easily touch up photos right in the camera, even immediately after you shoot. Now, the DSC-T70 supplies even more comprehensive in-camera functions to correct or process images. The new effects of Radial Blur and Retro have been added to the existing Soft Focus, Partial Color, Fisheye Lens, Cross Filter, Trimming, and Red-Eye Correction, giving you a powerful range of eight easy, enjoyable ways to personalize your photos. Radial Blur gives the dynamic effect of a freeze-frame shot, while Retro adds the stylish ambience of a classic photo. Once images have been edited, they can be stored separately from the original images and printed out whenever you like at extremely high quality. Fun ways to enjoy images Multi-resizing Change your pictures to suit your needs. This function allows original images taken in 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9 aspect ratio to be easily resized in-camera and their mode altered according to the application. Images taken in 4:3 and 3:2 can be resized into 16:9 at 2MP resolution for viewing on HDTV; images other than VGA (including 16:9) can be resized into 4:3 at VGA resolution for uploading to a blog or attachment to an e-mail. Fine tuning the trimming position is also easy with the 4-direction button displayed on the Touch Screen, and there’s no need to import images into a PC to make all these transformations. Simply resize -- and enjoy!
*Note: It is not possible to upload the screen image from the camera body directly to a blog. Wide zoom display Change your viewer to fit viewing opportunities. A "wide zoom" function allows photos to be displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio. Even 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratio photos can be displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio when viewing on actual HDTV or on the full wide-screen LCD display of the camera -- for a feeling of HDTV viewing.
*Note: Movies are shown in 4:3 aspect ratio. Versatility Alluring chic to match your style! Show fashion sense and imagination with colorful Cyber-shot sophistication. Four glamorous colors and infinite photo possibilities The eye-catching new DSC-T70 is an object of instant desire -- love at first sight. Observe its enticing palette of four color choices that perfectly complement attractive attire. Silver, for an ideal match of luxury and beauty in a smooth sterling-colored body with a brushed lens cover. Black, offering the striking contrast of two different textures uniting jet-colored body and hairline-finished lens cover. White, with its gleaming finish and fine porcelain color complemented by a beautifully pearly lens cover. Pink, in a subtly metallic rosy pearl finish with a lustrous lens cover. You’ll see why the stylish DSC-T70 has an irresistible appeal for fashion sophisticates as well as photo enthusiasts. Discover the new must-have Cyber-shot DSC-T70 -- a delight to see, and a joy to possess and use in infinitely creative ways. Strikingly slimmer than the previous model DSC-T20, this compact, contoured new model exemplifies the high technology of Sony’s packaging and battery innovation. Just glance at three different aspects of DSC-T70 design and texture -- the simple yet memorable front face with its slender lens cover, graceful streamlined body, and shining metal sides -- as well as the wide LCD "gallery" display on the reverse, and you’ll covet this distinctive little beauty as an accessory. Touch, hold, try, and make it your very own. Enhanced user-friendliness The convenient interface greatly simplifies operation. Simply press the HOME button to select the desired function from the main screen. Since all DSC-T70 functions -- such as "shooting", "viewing" and "setting"-- are displayed, users can select a function with ease. Moreover, when changes to specific camera settings are needed, just press the MENU button. For example, you can press the MENU button to change the setting of the Face Detection function while shooting, or to process the image while viewing. Need operational assistance? Ask Function Guide. Designed for all kinds of users from novices to veterans, this beginner-friendly feature offers step-by-step instructions by providing clear, easy-to-understand, simplified guidance as you operate the camera. For example, an icon guide on the control button describes the selected shooting mode. Additionally, explanations are provided for the Scene Selection mode, so users can easily understand the optimal shooting mode depending on the situation. The easy-to-use Function Guide not only displays icons but also provides clear instructions, making camera operation easier and more worry-free than ever before. Of course, the Function Guide can be turned On/Off according to your needs. With the Function Guide on, even beginners won’t need a users’ guide. As you get used to the camera operation, turn the Function Guide off to speed up the operation.

Sony Cybershot DSC-T70 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom
- Reviewd on: 1/31/2010 12:00:00 AM By: Ms. Sally A. Durrell
Sony Cybershot DSC-T70 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Silver) Love this camera; hard to find in stores to buy; some store staff oblivious of this product. It is easy to use and lots to learn, but not too complex even for a senior citizen. |

Ok but could be more intuitive

Good: Simple adjustments to over expose and color balance - uses touch screen like the iphone. Not so much: THERE IS A SILLY DESIGN FLAW. If you put the cam in Burst mode, it doesn't warn you that flash will no longer work, not in the manual either. Manual doesn't even mention burst- and yahoo! has lots of questions from ppl that couldn't figure this out. For the record if you can't figure out why you can no longer access the flash, check the following: menu -> record mode -> single (not burst!) With an onscreen menu- it's easy to change something by accident without knowing - or a warning that you can't use ur flash any more. |

This is a great little camera. You will need to read the instruction manual to realize all of the features it has. If you don't want to use the fancy features it is still a great point and shot camera that takes amazing pictures. |

A little bit of everything!

I have owned this camera for about a year and I absolutely love it. I was a bit concerned about the touch screen being fragile, but it has lasted and works as well as it did the day I purchased it. It takes fabulous pictures. I actually just went to FL with a friend and we took pics at sunset. Hers turned out dark and difficult to see the people and my camera took great clear pics without even changing modes. Taking videos on the camera is also extremely simple to do and they are of decent quality. The camera is so cute and sleek. I get compliments on it every time I am out with it. The touch screen makes learning how to use and find settings easily. Definitely worth every penny. |
